vanderic74
Hi, I have a LX 11000 GCS Spa and I have this recurrent error message that is driving me crazy The RH-NF error message keeps on showing up when it reaches around 96 F I did check for every possible problem without success, there is no air lock for sure and pumps and filters are clean and running fine. I see other user on this forum that experience the same problem but no solution was published. Could you please tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks E. ChaiSTi
I'm not familiar with the spa brand but I am familiar with the Gecko Aeware control system that it utilizes. The code is tied related to the in.therm heater. It indicates that there's a lack of water flow to activate the heater. Does your spa have a 24hr circulation pump or does it use the low speed of pump 1 to cycle the water? Either you have a flow problem or a sensor issue within the in.therm. The problem with the in.therm heater is that these sensors aren't accessible. You would have to replace the whole heater whenever there is a fault with it. Also, check the in.therm's communication cable to the spa pack for either a loose connection or damaged/bent pins.
vanderic74
Thanks for your answer, it would make sense that the sensors are not working properly, I had this conclusion by step by step problem solving To answer your question on the circulation pump, I believe that it s not a 24h circulation pump as I need to program the filter cycle,. I have to enter these parameters: the start time, duration and frequency. During a filter cycle, pumps run for one minute to purge the plumbing, then Pump 1 runs for the programmed number of hours. Could it mean that I have a lack of circulation due to the nature of the circulation system and maybe the parameters I set? What start time, duration and frequency would you recommend? Do you encourage maximum and most frequent filter cycles? Thanks for your help, it is very appreciated. I already had services of a local "specialist" and it was both expensive and very disappointing. Thanks to you I actually might be able to enjoy the spa while the last leaves are still hanging on Eric
ChaiSTi
To answer your question on the circulation pump, I believe that it s not a 24h circulation pump as I need to program the filter cycle,. There was not too much specifics on GCS's website or manual so I'm not sure if you spa uses the low speed or dedicated circ. pump for heating. My guess is that it uses the low speed of jet 1. Could it mean that I have a lack of circulation due to the nature of the circulation system and maybe the parameters I set? What start time, duration and frequency would you recommend? The in.therm requires 18 gpm to operate adequately. If you do not have a flow issue with jet pump 1 low speed, then you may need to replace the heater. Does jet1 low speed come on automatically for heating? If not, then you may have an issue with the pump itself. Try testing for voltage to the low speed. I believe the test point is between the neutral and red wire for this system. I don't suspect the control pack yet because the in.xm is supposedly a "smart pack". A pack issue would usually throw the code SpHR. Do you encourage maximum and most frequent filter cycles? Try the factory setting and see how that works out for you. Increase or decrease it based on need.

A new thread helps them keep track of your problem much easier. Also post up pictures of your spa pack internals, wiring diagram and equipment area. This helps them determine your exact configuration. They are all volunteers on their own time and these steps help them assist all of us. Yehme
I think this was ridiculous teling the op to start another thread when he was obviously contributing some relevant and important information, which is actually hard to find about these units. Is there some secret code about these spa guys that make it hard for us in the public to find any decent info? Or are they just replacement part guys.... cranbiz
So, you want our experts, who are freely giving their time and effort to reread old posts (in this case, a 9 year old thread) to give people answers that may have already been answered, to reread a post so they can answer the new question? If this bothers you, then maybe you should reread the post and answer the question. These guys come here to help, on their own time and for free to help. The least someone can do is a bit of research prior, then post up all the pertinent info they have in a new post so these pro's and even us amateurs who know a bit can help in a clean, uncluttered format. I asked the poster, who reopened this 9 year old thread to start a new thread, posting the info that will be asked. He did NOT have anything to contribute to the solution, he needs help and the way to get it here is to start his own thread. If you do just a tiny bit of reading posts around here, you will see that our experts are very helpful and are not just replacement parts guys. They also have careers and families that contributing here interferes with. Insulting them is not the way to keep getting their help. I gave the reasons for opening a new thread in my post. Apparently you didn't read my post completely.

We have helped thousands by sharing our knowledge for FREE on our own time and ask nothing in return. If someone wants to offer money as a thanks for helping we ask they either make a small donation to THEIR local food bank or to simply pay it forward with a random act of kindness like buy the guy behind you in a drive through his/her coffee... hold a door and say Good Morning to someone...do we always have the answers nope. Will we try...Always...unless your a ***. Don't be a ***.
