  1. The most important check is to see it full and running with no issues. If it's free, take a chance. If you are paying good money, you can't really check anything without power. You would need roughly a 12K generator that supports a 220V 50A outlet if you brought your own power to wire it up to test.

  2. Sounds like a pressure switch or flow issue.

  3. So finally decided to move our tub and get back some of the deck we had been missing for 4 years now. Had to remove a pile of trees and excavate down into the lawn 6" . After we excavated and levelled the area we used a power tamper on the soil and added 2" of 3/4 crush then power tampered that down as well to get a nice solid base for the frame. Frame is 4"x 4" X 10' and joists are 2" x 4" 12" on centre. Just thought I would explain how we did this to help other folks out with installing a hot tub on gravel. Will add more pics once it's fully completed and finished, but here is the pics where the tub was and where it is now and the process Still need to do a few landscaping finishes and move the gazebo over into place

  5. Sounds like it is running normal to me. If you have 240 coming off the board I would disconnect the heater and test it for continuity. Be very careful jumping the flow switch on those low flow heaters they will get nuclear hot in a fraction of a second. Post photos of the new circuit board so we can see how you have it set up and the schematic on the inside cover. Can you see the flow switch and if there is... first flow and then are there any air bubbles in the housing. Have you verified the flow switch is in the correct way with the flow of water pushing the toggle up against the post. Were you getting 240 v with the flow switch jumpered or with the flow switch connected as it should be?

  7. @castletonia WOW now that's quick service. Thank You and have a great weekend... Older than it looks. Picked up the spa, 15' of tech 90 wire, The 2 breaker 20/30 Amp panel box, near new cover, Cover Lifter and cover cap plus the heaviest step ever for basically removal labour cost and a 20 min $10 leak repair. Despite it's age it is a super clean well taken care of spa that won't last the weekend once posted for sale. Some days it works out for the overworked and weary. 🙏 No base rot, Pumps and pack are in perfect working order.

  8. It's a biofilm which is a cluster of bacteria that is hard to kill and lurking deep in the plumbing. Really gross and a bit unsafe as clusters of bad bacteria would be. You can use a product called AHH-SOME which will clean it ALL from the interior pipes. This does not happen if spa is maintained chemically with sanitizers. I would switch to Dichlor instead of Bromine and shock once every 2 weeks at least and change your filter every week. This has happened to many who think they are properly sanitizing but are not, so don't feel bad.
