Tubber McGee Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Would you rather purchase a mid-grade tub from a dealer with outstanding service or a High end tub from a dealer with low to mediocre service? Quote
dirty Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 buy high quality demand good service it is a package deal!! Quote
Dr. Spa Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Personally I think I'd go with the outstanding service. I'm thinking I'd rather have 4 warranty claims that each take a day or two to get taken care of rather than one warranty issue that takes weeks. Quote
BigDfromTN Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Would you rather purchase a mid-grade tub from a dealer with outstanding service or a High end tub from a dealer with low to mediocre service? Hmmmmmmm Good question! Quick service is important. BUT Not having to have service is even better. I generally believe that quality endures. And to that end would normally want a better quality item for the long run. Quote

I might lean that way too especially if I felt the manufactuer was especially known for backing their product very well because sometimes they can help make up for a dealer that tends to be lacking. Not an easy answer though as we'd all really rather not have to settle at all. Quote

Hopefully that is not the choice you have to make, but even the best of products can require service during it's life. I would have to go with the quality product from a good manufacturer, dealers often come and go in this industry. Good manufacturers and product will survive, even in a bad economy. Just my opinion..! Quote
salp Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 service. I have a tub with "quick" service but "poor" quality of service.... so i guess i would want best tub best service and all that jazz! Quote

Dnepr Dave Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I guess I did go with high end, but with no service, when I bought my tub used. I wired it up myself and haven't had any problems with it since. I'm handy enough to fix anything that might go wrong with it, I'd never consider calling a tech. Though if I'd bought a new spa and it had problems, I'd call a service tech, as the warranty is part of the purchase price. Dave Quote

I am handy myself, so I don't mind fixing something myself.. .however, the techs that came out for under warranty service calls were brutal. I literally would rather have no one come out and and get my dog to help me... he at least knows what I mean when I say 'Robinson'.. he gives me the red screwdriver! Good boy! Quote
