Legend 2
I added Spa Purge to start the drain/clean process. After a couple minutes the foam was excessive so turned the jets off. Once the foam went down I turned on the jets again. After a couple more minutes the breaker flipped and now the jets won’t run.
In Hot Water
Spa purge won't cause a short, however the Heater may have wet the bed. We need more information on what you have, before we offer up minimally helpful suggestions. What is the brand, and model?
Cusser
I wonder if water overflowed while sudsing and shorted something out. I think I'd drain the water and let stuff dry out before refilling, set up a fan blowing at the equipment area.
CanadianSpaTech
Disconnect the heater wires or lift the copper tabs away from the heater element (power off) so they can't touch anything and then try. If breaker holds replace heater element. If you live in a cold below 0 climate you will at least be able to have the tub run and move water until you can find a replacement heater. Tape any bare wires or make sure the copper tabs can't touch anything as they will be live. Below for a Balboa Heater

Was you filter installed while purging? Is it possible the filter clogged up and is causing the system to trip? Many spa purge cleaners require the filter removed for this reason
