Hot Springs Hot Spot SX Temp Drop

What kind of temp drop are we talking about?  How long are you using the hot tub and what kind of outside air temps do you have?  Are there any other symbols or icons on the display?

I have a 2020 SX running 115V.  It was 27 degrees out this morning and my tub dropped from 103 to 102 during my 30 minute soak.  But, there have been days when it’s windier outside and I’ve lost 3 degrees in 30 minutes.

I'm guessing you keep your air controls closed?

Any spa set up for a 120v option has to be able to disable the heater when the jets are on. Otherwise it will pull too many amps and trip. When wired for 240v you must change some jumper pin or dipswitch to change that operation. I suspect they did not do that. With a pic I can instruct you how, or you can call your dealer and have them come do it. If it's new I suspect there would be no charge from a reputable dealer.

RDspaguy, I keep my air controls open.

Unless you are in a super windy environment it sounds like the hot tub isn’t heating.  Is this a new issue?  It could be that either the hot tub is in Econ mode and not heating or if when it was converted to 220V that the jumper setting wasn’t changed to allow the heater to run concurrently with the jet pump.

The jumper settings are done through the control panel, it’s not a physical jumper.

I am surprised you don't lose more temp than that pulling in cold air and mixing it into the water at the jets. Amazed, even.🤔 Especially with it wired at 115v 20amp, as your heater can't be running with your jets running.

I misunderstood. New breaker, not new spa.

Do you know how? What controls does the hotspot use?

I'm mildly confused...as always...is the spa a 2010 or a 2020

Tub heater does not operate when jets are on high.

Below Clipped from the 2020 manual.... Page 29

When these spars are connected to 230 volts 50 amps, the heater will provide approximately 4000 watts of heat when the pump is operating in LOW or HIGH speed and the thermostat is calling for heat.
