  1. @Factory Rep You must be new. Let me offer some advice.. posting on an internet forum such as this one that has many trusted independent service professionals as responding members trying to defend your product lines will not end well. LPI's reputation proceeds you and it will be a loosing battle. Just Say'n Good Luck

  3. You can always drop a balboa pack with heater in it. Under $500. Plus a little minor plumbing and a pump. Hey now, I resemble that remark.😉

  4. With the current demand and parts shortages, finding a better used tub may not be easy and if you do, people think they are made of gold. If that one just needs a pump, I would go ahead and replace the pump. This way, she has a tub to soak in for now. While heating the water with residual heat isn't the best way, it does work. Just takes a long time.

  5. The valves are on the top of the spa. That is where they get their air from. You should not do ANYTHING to it.

  6. @Factory RepWhen I was researching hot tubs, I did go to one of your dealers. To say I was less than impressed with them is an understatement. No real info that wasn't available on your website, wouldn't let me look under the hood, high pressure and pushing financing even though I was clear up front that I was paying cash. No wet test even though the model I was interested in was full, therefore I couldn't dry sit in it. Sure the price was attractive but this is a 10-20 year investment and I wanted questions answered. Long time ago, I had a LPI 4 person hot tub. It was in tough shape after 5 years, jets failing, shell crazing and cracking and the support from LPI was poor at best. The fact that there were are no dealer techs in my area and apparently, none in my area now as well is a big red flag to me. Someone on a tight budget and willing to live with a short life span (based on my personal experience only) would do well with a Dr Wellness or other models but for a long term investment, I can't recommend any LPI product. Yes, my new Artesian Island Nevis was about $3K more but I have full dealer support, a better warranty and a company that is known for quality. The track record of Artesian is far better than the track record of LPI.

  7. It most likely doesn't have a heater. It gets it's heat from the pump motor by using the residual heat to heat the water.

  8. It is usually just after the heater and before the ozone injector. To the right of the control box near the top. You can track the wire back from the circuit board to find it. Post a pic of the equipment area.

  9. Were you using MPS as an oxidizer? MPS is a known sensitizer and can cause contact dermatitis in both bromine and chlorine systems but is more commonly used in bromine in many two step and some one step bromine systems. In chlorine systems it is used as a non chlorine shock so, even if used, the amount added to the water is often less than in a bromine system using MPS as the primary oxidizer. Neither chlorine or bromine are known sensitizers but it is possible to develop an irritant contact dermatitis from either (however, this is not an allergy but more akin to a chemical burn). Some people have also been known to develop a rash from the hot water in the tub The most common rash from a hot tub is hot tub folliculitis or hot tub itch which is an infection by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and affects sensitive individuals. It occurs when the sanitizer levels are not properly maintained which allows the organism to grow.
