Tom31664
On the floor of my tub there is a drain screen ALSO called heater return. My question; is that drain screen also where heated water is returned to the tub or is that the feed where water is returned to the heater? Ikr? My memory is that we would place our feet o ER that and feel the warm water returning to the tube HOWEVER yesterday I had the tub serviced with a new heater installed and the new tubing/plumbing has water from that drain pvc going into the INLET side of the heater not the outlet side??? RDspaguy
On a 96 I'm pretty sure the floor grate is the heat return, where hot water returns to the tub. You should see bubbles and feel heat. If plumbed backwards, the heat (if any) would come out of the first filter. @castletonia, is that correct? Post some pics. It's not easy to plumb that backwards.
