westernk
Hey all.. My Arctic Yukon which I've had for just 4 years has begun to show rust deposits that settle on the chrome part of the Jets. They do wipe off with little effort and the filters regularly have this same brownish deposit on em. This deposit now is tinting the water to a green colour (most likely yellow water in a blue shell?) The PH is held at 7.6 TA is about 50 FCL at 5ppm Salt at 2300 ppm So the water is well balanced. Water was replaced in October and I always use clean start as part of my cleanout to refill procedure Seeklear metal remover seems to have a temporary effect. Does anyone have any clues to whether it truly is the components rusting or is it copper in The water?
RDspaguy
If it wipes off it's the water.
dashmer
If it is the water, your source is obviously full of iron and possibly other metals. If you did not use one on last fill, I recommend one of those hose line filters (x10 I think or similar) to try and pull most of that out before it gets in your tub.
