michelle27
Hello, Have Sundance optima 880 2009 After a technician passed to change light panel, pump #2 started rapid cycles and control panel 'HOLD'...(was told that this message when too many buttons were pressed one after another, which we did not do but maybe technician did (we were not there)) buttons on control panel work except for pump 1 and 2 Tried : breaker off for over 12 hours reset of control panel by pressing a button for 30 seconds control panel unplugged for minutes and replugged : heater was off but lights were on ***NOTICED a tad of WATER/humidity STUCK BETWEEN PANEL LINING AND BUTTONS, read online could remove control panel and attempt to dry it (in rice or similar), is that possible? Read that maybe a fuse needs to me changed. I am sketical because if the case, there would simply be no power on a part ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE SOOO APPRECIATED :)
RDspaguy
Sounds like a short in the topside control to me. I have never personally tried to dry one out, but it's worth a shot. Nothing to loose by trying. If you unplug the topside with the power on does it start automated functions such as heating and filter cycles?
