I understand the reason one would want to shower before getting into a spa, primarily to wash away lotions and oils and such and keep you spa clean. But why wash afterwards? I f chlorine is a great sanitizer, one would assume you are super clean coming out of the tub. Do you need to rinse chlorine away for health reasons? Is it better to rinse it off in a shower versus rubbing/drying off with a towel?

Showering before is real important to preserve your water quality, but I know little about the 'showering after' philosohpy. Assuming the water is in good condition (sanitized) there seems little need to shower afterwards unless you have a sensitivity to chlorine.

Anyone else know about this?

I don't shower before...most of the time I rinse my hair to get the crap out of it...but after I never shower...ever.

We very rarely shower before, maybe if dirty/sweaty from previous activities. We usually do wash off deodorants and lotions with a wash cloth. We have never showered after soaking.

The only reason i can see to shower after is if you have sensitive skin and what to get the remaints/salts from the chemicals off
