Dealer Or Consumer

I am writing this post in response to a post in the "I bought artic..." thread by smilinbare I believe it was. he asked how many dealers are active on the forum versus consumers. So I thought I would share in the interest of full disclosure. I am a service technician for Coleman spas and Jacuzzi spas we sell both at my company. I also do sales and deliveries. I try to give accurate advice, and my opinion about the products i sell and other products I compete against, because I feel those are the ones I know best. I think the products I sell are quality products, and I also think there are many other quality spas out there as well. so with all this out in the open feel free to value or discard my opinions, because that is what they are just opinions. educated ones I hope, but opinions none the less.

I work for one of the largest Mechanical Contractors in the U.S we specialize in Plumbing, Boiler Service, Sheet Metal, Insulation, HVAC, Roofing, Arcitecual Metals, General Contractor Services. Me and My brother own a Pool and Spa Set Up, Maintenence, and Repair business. Independent of any dealers, they call me with there overload. We wanted to give out of warranty people a choice to call out of the phone book. Alot of dealers can be, well not very nice to people who don't own there brand. We also winterize and freeze protection and unthaw frozen tubs. Here in Northern Minnesota this is a major problem, a tub goes down and it needs to be looked at, fixed or drained before it freezes, so quick decisions abound.

People will find I don't have a preferance to one brand but list several as good choices. I have a strong opinion regarding effieciency differences between the 2 types of insulation skeems and that is.....IT JUST DON"T MATTER. And people who are sold on one being that much better than the other have been decieved. My advice is more real world/common sense and not sales.

I just love Hot Tubs

I visit every once in a while and represent a company. I'm absolutely not here to "sell" anything to anybody... just help answer a question or two every once in a while and get some good info. and laughs from all the posts. Inspite of the dealer-consumer ratio... the information is great and should all be taken with a grain of salt.

I am strictly a consumer living in N.W. Ontario, Canada. I am a fairly new to the hot tub scene, but try to help others on the board based on my own experiences and advice given to me by others on this board, family that own tubs, family that has knowledge based on their feild of work (chemists, electricians, plumbers, etc). I own an Arctic spa, but do not try to push others to buy one, as after searching for a tub for several years, i have found that there are many quality brands, each with it's pros and cons, and it all comes down to preference (and like roger said, full foam vs thermal pane, it doesn't really matter much in final buying decisions). If there's a question i don't know, i wait until somebody replies and learn for myself, if there is one i can help with input, i answer.

Whatta you mean nothing? There's a good casino there, lol . . . and a few good restaurants, ski resorts, etc . . . tons of deer your way, major moose my way . . . and if you like timberwolves, i go hunting up north from where i am, was sitting in my cut waiting for a moose we had pushed through the bush, an hour later i hear a pack of timberwolves, sure enough they got my moose the buggers . . . kinda erie at dusk, listening to them howl, growl, bark only a few hundred yards in the bush and nobody but you around . . . started counting how many rounds i had left for my 7mm Rem mag, lol, actually timberwolves are harmless to humans, never been a case of one attacking a human (cross breds, yes, but timberwolves, no) and beautiful to watch (except when they get my kill before i get my kill, lol)

This young one stood on the road 30 feet from us as we sat there admiring his beauty. Very cool animal and knows that the side of the road is a good place for a meal. Not skragly like a coyote, very clean and majestic.

Sorry about the moose.....LOL should went and fought for it......with the 7MM of course.

depends on how bad the wound is...

Mike, how is that buying online working for you? How do you juggle between the few locations you have? I was thinking about opening a dealer in NJ, and Conneticuit eventually to take up the tri-state area. How do you check up on all the stores? Do you have a general manager for each location? Very nice website. I want to start the buying online with a checkout. How did you get that started.

What company do you represent.

Clearwater Spas in Woodinville WA. a division of Hydroplastics.

Technically I'm not a dealer, I just work at one of the showrooms.

You can read more about me in a topic I posted a while back about "get to know the regulars".

And you Brulan?
