Vita Spa 40A or 60A

Recommended Posts

Vita support recommends 60A, the manual specifies it can run at 40A (only heater or pumps) or 60A (Heater and pumps simultaneously), however my dealer says it only needs to run at 40 and 60 isn't necceesarily needed.

Can someone confirm if I should just ask my electrician to install for 60A

Also, both dealer and electrician mentioned a disconnect, if this is installed do I need 60 at the disconnect and the panel?

At 40 amps, your heater turns off when your jets are on, so the water cools as you use it. Not much price difference between 40 and 60 amp, so go 60. You need 60 at both main and disconnect, but only the disconnect needs a gfci, which can be had at home depot for around $100.
