Hot Springs Sovereign not heating all the way

Recommended Posts

My Hot Springs Sovereign I bought second hand has been working beautifully for 2 yrs. in the last month it seems to now have a problem reaching temperature. The display says it’s ‘ready’ and reached temperature (i.e. 37.5) but it’s not that temperature probably 36.

The engineer has been out and cleaner the system to make sure that it’s not a flow issue and also said I should take temperature right down to lowest and then up again. Thought it had sorted problem but it hasn’t.

Engineer then said I need to get a floating thermal blanket as it’s too cold outside to keep temperature up. I’ve never had a problem in the last 2 winters, but also why does display says it’s reached temperature when it hasn’t?.

Engineer coming back today and would like to be a little more informed as to the potential issues.

Any help greatly appreciated 👍🏻

Have the engineer test the sensors. Do you get a lot of white calcium in the spa accumulating on the seats and in the foot well area. If you do the heater element might be covered in calcium and not performing as it should. Also remove the filters and try getting it up to temp without them installed.

Engineer! love it...Hey RD were Engineers. Will have to change my business cards.
