Help with test strip read

OK will someone help me interpret this? 

Im thinking hardness is low (that important?) 

Chlorine is low

Alkalinity a bit low but OK? 

Ph is good. 

 

Thoughts? 

 

Keep in mind my weekly chemical schedule is add chemicals every Thursday..

I say a little low on chlorine or bromine, otherwise pretty good.

I am in no way an expert, beings I've only own a hot tub for a few months now, but you should probably check it more often depending on your use. I have to add a teaspoon of chlorine every day or two to keep the chlorine level optimal. This is with a 300 gal hot tub.

Just don't over use test strips it will only cost you money and you will over use chemicals. Does it look clean and smell clean chances are it's good. Once a week should be all you need. Use a bit of spa shock weekly. Ideally 6 hours before cleaning filters so the filters have time to pick up any suspended organic contaminants (all the stuff that comes off your body). If you have paper pleated filters clean them weekly and soak them in filter wash every 6 weeks for a deeper cleaning. Clean filters are the key to using less products. Removing the organic contaminants on a regular basis will allow your sanitizer to be more effective for a longer period of time and keep up the flow of water through the system.
