I am in no way an expert, beings I've only own a hot tub for a few months now, but you should probably check it more often depending on your use. I have to add a teaspoon of chlorine every day or two to keep the chlorine level optimal. This is with a 300 gal hot tub.

I have a Lifesmart LS350DX spa that came with the house I bought a few months ago. I have a user manual, but the section covering filter cycle settings are confusing. Does anyone know what the F1 and F2 settings for the filter cycle actually do? I'm trying to set it to run fewer filter cycles to save energy, but I'm not sure if I'm setting the frequency of cycles or duration of cycles. Any further info would be appreciated!
