Should The Psi Be The Same From Spa Mode And Pool Mode

Recommended Posts

It may be the seal, or it could be weeping past the seal plate o-ring. Pressures are the same in the pump housing as the filter tank. Maybe even higher. If your jets (in the) spa begin to work when the filter is in spa mode, then yes higher pressure is normal. Jets are more of a restriction. If not, could be that the higher pressure is because you only have one return in the spa and several in the pool. Or a longer run from the equipment to the spa than the pool. Could be several things. Has it always done this? Or did you just move in???

I just moved in and never REALY paid attention on the spa mode , , that makes sense on the jets cause just today I closed the valve for the jets and got more psi , to my in floor system , wich now it works fine , I thought something was wrong with it , I also cleaned the o ring and tank and closed it up the way it recommends and guess what , no leak , thank you guys soo much I was going to change the oring but before that I thought to clean it really good and found alot of debri on the oring , it still looks a lil used and abused , the system is 10 years old so if it leaks again I'll replace it , thanx again guys
