dave00
Guys/Gals, I'm new to this forum and I need some help. I currently have a Hayward H series (H350IDL2)heater on my inground pool here in Houston. My dang dog chewed the wire leads off of the Temperature Limit Sensors on the water outlet side of the heater. For the life of me I can't figure out how this was wired as only one lead comes from the control board area of the unit. There is two sensors (stack on top/right next to each other) and there use to be a rubber boot covering the contact leads of the sensors. Does someone have a picture of an install or diagram of how this sensor is hooked up as I cannot figure it out and the manual from Hayward is useless. Do both sensors get hooked up in parallel or is only one used? Does one side of the sensor hook to the power and the other side ground? Also, can I buy a new electrical boot/cover to replace the one's destroyed as I can't find it anywhere on the web? Any help is appreciated. Dave PS I'm really pissed at my dog right now - LOL!!! waterbear
Perhaps the manual can help. Try page 18. As far as the dog, just give him some unconditional love. I'm sure he gives you the same every day!

I'm sure he gives you the same every day! Thanks for the advise, however if you look at the manual the wiring diagram is pretty useless as I have already found. I'm hoping someone here has wired one in or has any experience hooking up the sensor? I just can't figure out how to hook one wire coming from the unit to 4 terminals (2 a piece) on the two sensors? As for the dog, she's in her kennel.
Dr. Spa
Page 17, Figure 35, clearly shows how everything is wired up. In English, and French
dave00
Page 17, Figure 35, clearly shows how everything is wired up. In English, and French Thanks guys, but the manual is not very helpful. However, the wiring diagram located on the inside of the front panel is much more detailed. Turns out the sensors are wired in parallel. The first wire comes from the Vent Pressure, to the top limit switch and the both limit switches are wired together leaving the last terminal to return to the Water Pressure switch. Working like a charm now and fires right up. Thanks again.
Dr. Spa
ummmm, no. The limit switches are wired in series, not parallel. This is very clearly shown in the manual (Page 17, Figure 35). But, from reading your last post, your description of what you did is, "in series".
