passos
Putting in a new in ground gunite pool in NJ. I'm deciding against a diving board and instead will have a water slide feature built into a rock wall/waterfall. The water slide will flow into about a 3ft or so depth. The total pool size will be about 850 sq/ft and it will be free form. My guys has suggested that you don't really need an 8ft depth if you don't have a diving board, as kids will be fine jumping or even diving into a 6 ft depth, and not having that depth in half the pool makes it more usable. He also said the risk of kids hitting their heads diving into a 6ft depth is minimal if there is no diving board. Assuming I never intend on adding a diving board, any thoughts on whether I need to go 8 ft deep in the deep end?
PoolGuyNJ
Diving and 6' depths are mutually exclusive. Kids will dive. Get the 8' depth. Scott
