BlueSpa
Anyone with the Taylor K-2006 recommend which reagents I should purchase extras?? May as well get a well stocked kit and just spend one shipping charge. (right now we're using chlorine with MPS weekly shock) Thanks! chem geek
You generally go through the R-0871-A FAS-DPD titrating reagent faster than anything else so you can get more of that, but be aware that it is also one of the more sensitive reagents so would normally not be kept for more than a year anyway. Most other reagents are good for 2 years and the acids and buffers don't degrade so will last many years. The organic dyes in the indicators are somewhat sensitive, but you can replace those after 2 years (though Taylor says to do this after 1 year). You might need more R-0870-I DPD powder as well. Since you will be testing pH regularly, you might go through R-0004-A pH indicator solution, but again this is something you don't want to keep too long anyway. If you do a lot of CYA tests, then you'll go through a lot of R-0013-A CYA reagent. Richard

mscdman
How long does a typical Taylor K-2106 kit last? Assuming you check for Ph/bromine levels 3 times a week?
