#1 DO NOT DRAIN THE WATER OUT!! unless you plan on having the pool collasping or you are planning to replace the liner. #2 just shock, shock, and shock. keep your cl level high for a few days and it will die out and slowly clear up. make sure you brush it several times a day so the shock can hit the algae. and do not use soap as it is very hard to get out and will foam up your pool. patience will do it.

side panels has no insulation either. i was trying to figure out how to attach the sheet to the tub with rounded sides. i am also thinking about rebuilding the frame. is there a particular thickness i should use?

my shell has no foam on it. got it like that. what do you suggest to use to insulate the shell and not being destroyed by consendation(sp?)?? i am in the process of rehabbing/rebuilding my spa and i would like some recommendations.

i see them all over but it stops at 1437 and not 1438. mine looks like a directional eyeball like the return fitting in the pool. but thanks anyway.

i've been wanting to change/replace my jets on my old '89 hot tub. however it has hayward sp1438-c jets. i could not find anything about them. how can i replace them if i cannot find them?? do i need to cut them out and replace them with a waterway or what? please help me. thanks

maybe the reagents that u use the most: ph, chlorine, cya maybe.

the flexpipe can be glued to the rigid connector. clamps might not hold it together. you can try it though and see what happens. post back to let us know.

try converting the pipes to either pvc flex pipe or sch 40 rigid pipe.

have you tried vinegar?? i hear vinegar is excellent to remove odors.

how many different kinds of jets are there?? i dont know what brand they are to even begin to take them apart. is there a generic way to do this, or is each brand different??

ok i hope there are some pool stores around cuz i've been seeing them disappearing a lot over the winter due to bankrupty and poor economy. maybe the hardware store may have them?? or maybe i can make some using pieces of rubber?? i just have to figure out how to take the jets out.

i have an old hot tub (89 polyesian) and it hasnt been used in a few years. i was looking at the jets and noticed the gaskets seems to be cracked and dried out. where can i get the replacement gaskets or can i just use a good silicone to fix it. i dont know what kind of jets they are or even how to take them out. can someone give me some useful advise?? thanks!!

hate to take the topic away, but can you add a cart to the sand filter?? i have heard of sand being washed back into the pool, and i know the cart will prevent that. will it hurt the system to use both at the same time?? going through the sand filter then the cart before back to pool?

how do you put solar salt in the agp?? just pour and stir? my pool manual advises against salt in the bottom of the poolas it may eat up the liner. can i put some in the skimmer and let it dissolve that way through the pump or is that a no-no? i am having a hard time finding pool salt as: 1) it is early in the season here, and 2) lot of the pool and spa stores are disappearing via bankrupty or foreclosure due to the market and economy. any help would be appreciated.
