  1. I actually had a Aquarite, when it was under warranty give it an acid wash by "a factory trained" service tech while it was powered. Needless to say... He smoked the board. Sounds like your board might be bad. If you are unsure about the cell! Sometimes your local pool store might have a setup to test it.
  2. Did you do the acid bath while it was still plugged in?
  3. RO removes pretty much all metals, but copper in large is not good for RO Membranes. As far as I know, it's not available in VA, but the process is catching on quickly! We just did a 30,000 gallon pool and lowered TDS from 4'800 to 390. CH was 690 and is now 120ppm. CYA was 100 and is 0ppm. Very happy customer!
  4. I know another way besides draining your pool to lower CYA...
  5. AL-5 setting emualates a Jandy Aquapure so you can use your Aqua-Rite on a Jandy RS system. How did you try to change this value? If no other LED is lite, I would think you a board problem. Did you completely power it down?
  6. I would dump pucks all together and stick with chlorine! If want to try something, The HASAPool "Liquidator" is a better solution!
  7. Sorry for the delayed post. After three years of using 2 different SWG and my wife liking the pool temp around 90, it was just costing to much in electricity to run. During the summer months I had to run my filter pump 10 - 12 hours a day to keep up with chlorine production and I was finding myself still adding chlorine manually and not to mention adding Muriatic Acid twice weekly to keep PH down. I just find it easier to use liquid chlorine twice to three times a week and run my pump for 6 hours instead. Sal
  8. Just curious", what is your CYA level and your pool temp?
  9. Read this post: http://www.troublefreepool.com/which-swg-t18708.html?hilit=Swg%20comparison I have had two swg and prefer to use chlorine and muriatic acid. Good luck!
  10. Try "The Pool Cleaner" By far the best bang for your buck. Made in USA. www.thepoolcleaner.com. They run about $700.00
  11. The last thing you want to do is acid wash your plaster, you'll shave three years off the life.. Save your money and replaster down the road! If you want an option to to a drain and refill, Try purifing your pool water. If your interested PM me and I will explain!
  12. Power and Aqualink RS are lit up green. No other lights on. What does your display have on it?
  13. What LED's are lite up on your display. What does your display say?
  14. Warranty should be covered, but if you are seeing voltage, then it is producing chlorine. Again, check the water at the cell. loosen one fitting while your running so you get a leak at the cell and test that water, then tighten it back up. As mentioned above, you may have high phosphates which could be consuming your chlorine. It would also be nice to know what your cyanuric acid level (CYA) is? Without this, your chlorine has no chance! How long are you running your pump?
  15. If your Aqua-Rite is being controlled by your Aqua Rite Control Panel it should be AL-0. If it is being controlled by other controls it could be set to AL-3. Do you use the dials on the Aqua Rite Control Panel of do you set your % at a remote terminal? AL-5 emulates a Jandy SWG so I can control it from my Jandy RS8 One touch inside my house. That might be why you are not generating chlorine, it might be looking at an external source. To change the value back to AL-0 Push the Diagnositc button until you see AL-3 and cycle the from auto to super chlorinate and back to auto should change it to AL-4, keep repeating until you get to AL-0. I'm pretty sure that is the sequence. Good Luck
  16. What is your CYA reading? The easiest way to determine if it is working is to crack the union at the cell and test the water from there. If it is producing, then you either need ot increase your CYA or something is wrong with your balance. You may want to post your chemistry values, that might help us understand the problem.
