when i have the SWG aon super cloronate there is something coming out of the jets. it is nothing like sand or salt as i cant catch or feel anything. my pool does foam up then, but the chemistry is fine. all in the middle of normal range.
mine was doing the same thing just yesterday. i turned off all power and unplugged the cell and cleaned it real good. i then plugged it back up and turned on the power to the pool only. i let it run for about 6 hours then i turned on the cell! it worked fine.
the water dropped in 14 hours from 930pm to noon the next day. the pump was off.
now it has not dropped when i ran the pump today. so tonight i mark the water level and will see what the level is tomorrow.
now how would someone find a leak?
what is the norml evaporation rate for a salt water pool. i lost 3 inches of water from 930pm to noon to day. i went uo to turn the pumpson and noticed the drop. i do not have any wet spots around the pool or down the hill from the pool.
if i suspect a leak how do i find it?
ok this morning i went out and check my readings this is what i have
3.30
30
24.7
6.38
100p
-3.20
AL-0
-1.40
free clorine = 1
PH = 7.3
alkalinity = 110
water temp on my floating thermometer says 88 deg
i let the pool run all night on super clorinate
still cant tell what my salt reading is. this is what is driving me crazy.
i dont know what display that is. it is never the same when i look at it. it use to display the salt reading......2800 or 3100 or what ever then it started flashing check cell. so i took the cell out and cleaned it. i was scally so i used 1 part muric acid and 4 parts water. let sit about 5 minutes then i flushed with clean water. i put the cell back in and turned on the pump. i left the power off till i had flow then i turned it on. the check cell light was still flashing so i got the ownersmanual out and it said to hold the diagnous button for 3 seconds o reset the light. i did that and it has NEVER displayed the salt level agian. that was 2 weeks ago.
my PH and alkalinity is just fine but my free clorine is very low.
my pump is also about 3 feet above the pool water level. i to have to prime the pump EVERYtime it comes on. when the pool pump shuts off the water runs back to the pool from the suction lines. how can i stop this
