Russ
Can anyone tell me if this is normal for large bubbles to come out of my returns each morning after the pump has been off overnight? Now I do have a Ozone generator however the bubbles that come out are very small when the pump is running. In the video you can actally see the small bubbles but then you see the large bubbles for about 5 seconds. Here's a link to the video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7CTPO-1xVE Thank You! Pathfinder
it appears you have air in your suction line somewhere.
yes
After you turn off the pump, listen closelly to the pump. You should be able to hear some hissing noise, which could tell you where the air is going into. Also look around your pumps and filter for leaking water, again it would indicate a point of air suction. Possiple areas of air suction: any joint of pump or filter to pipe, or pump/filter caps. itabb
I get the same thing when the solar heater comes on. I don't think there's a leak, so much as air coming out of the water and a bit of a vaccuum created in the solar panels over night. It goes away in a few seconds, so I don't worry about it.
