DaveG in MI
I am replacing the original power pack that came with the Max 460 13 years ago with the Balboa BP7 5.5kW Spa Control Kit. We have a stereo on the front panel that I want to just eliminate. Can I just not hook it up in the new control kit? The plug from the control kit goes to a black power supply box. The wire then comes out and plugs into the stereo on the front of the spa. I'm not sure what else this power box controls...
cranbiz
No issues with leaving the stereo unplugged. I can't read the output voltage on the power supply so I really can't guess what else it may supply power to.
CanadianSpaTech
Takes 120 or 240V off the board and steps it down to 12V dc. Usually only the stereo runs off it. If plugged into board it should have 2 lights on it to show it is receiving and sending power to the stereo. If you don't want to use stereo just disconnect it from the circuit board.
