JABenzie
2013 Coastal Spa, 2 speed: Initially the hot tub was displaying 2 errors, "Heater is Dry" and "Heater is too hot". Pump 1 would work on low speed IF you went from Hi to Low speed really fast. It would also not circulate the water. No buzzing. High speed would work. We bought a new motor and pump for pump 1 to try to fix the problem. Now, low speed will work but it will buzz. High speed will turn on for a second and buzz, turn off, turn back on a second and buzz, turn off, turn back on a second and buzz, etc. I am so confused why it is doing almost exactly the opposite of the initial problem now with an additional buzzing noise and no error messages. Any help would be appreciated.
CanadianSpaTech
Usually a hard buzz sound when pump is turned from low to high indicates a faulty/stuck relay. The board is sending power to both speeds at the same time. Disconnect the pump from the board and test power coming off the board to verify that it is sending power to both speeds. The error code is likely from the pump cutting out and not moving water. Since the pump is new verify the wiring is correct at the pump. If not wired correctly it might account for the switch in operation.
