Heater corrosion

Recommended Posts

we are finding very fine black debris in our tub.  we run with bleach and keep a close eye on the pH which is normally about 7.5

the debris is not coming from our feet or overhead so I think the most likely source is corrosion of the heater element itself.  I don't think

there is anything else in the plumbing it can come from.

Its a 3000 watt in a Balboa system.  No salt in the water

Any comments please ???

Not sure if this helps you.

O-rings deteriorating can also cause issue. O-rings around valves and pump/heater unions but can be hard to trace.
