EasyBee
I know this is what this form does not normally deal with, but I bought a house with a jetted whirlpool tub that has an insane amount of brown flaky biofilm coming out of it. We have tried using bathroom products and OxiClean, but no good. I have some CLR and some tsp but I'm afraid to use those products for fear of messing up the tub. Can someone please point me in the right direction to doing a major biofilm removal on the inside of these pipes that I can't reach it all? mcw53
In my opinion, member dlleno is the expert on this forum regarding biofilm removal. He has done extensive testing of the effectiveness of various products. Based on his test results, I and many others on this forum have switched to Ahh-Some. This is his most recent post on the subject. Check out his blogs documenting his testing and results ... https://boisediesel.com/blog/2016/7/spa-purge https://boisediesel.com/blog/2016/7/purge2 https://boisediesel.com/blog/2019/5/purge-shootout-seaklear-silk-balance-ahhsome
