mauruz
Hi, I just replace my pool pump motor, I got a marathon electric motor, it is wired for 220 and when I turn it on, it starts making a noise like a click that is on and off. The diagram on the motor says that there is a voltage selector but I have not been able to find it I can send pictures and video if that will help. drandolph
What type of pump is it..? also are you sure you have it wired properly sounds like it could be a starting capacitor issue
mauruz
It is a whisperflo pump, with a new marathon electric motor. Here is an image of the wiring diagram. http://www.rulosworld.com/pool/20140801_201423.jpg And here is an image of how it is connected, http://www.rulosworld.com/pool/20140802_181125.jpg http://www.rulosworld.com/pool/20140801_201414.jpg
Pool Clown
Is that motor supposed to be a new? It doesn't look new. That may be the problem. That is a 220v only motor (no selector on this one). The diagram doesn't even look like the same connector plate as the one used. If you just got this motor, take it back. Something is wonky here. The two set screws on the connector plate aren't even the same!
