A Question Of Hygiene.

Being new to the world of hot tubs I 'm trying to do everything right to take care of the water in my Tub. I was instructed by my Hotspring dealer to always take a "soap shower"before getting in my spa. Do most of you do that? Is it really nessary to do that every time?

At most I sometimes rinse in the shower if I've been sweating or dirty, but normally I just slide in the evening before bed. You will drive yourself crazy if you obsess too much about water care. My first few months were tough... until I relaxed on it.

Same, I live with a house full of college aged sweaty guys. I make everyone rinse off by the hose if we just got done working out, other than that I just shock it a little more after a heavy bather load. After maxing it out *8-9 people* Its a toss of a coin if its even worth keeping that water depending how long its been in there.

No, we don't unless we've been working in the garden/yard and are covered with mud.

After stressing about the water for 4 months (and learning the hard way!) we now know that Clorox bleach in the water is our friend.
