Asherah
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum, and have a question. I recently purchased a hot tub, and I have no idea how to remove the hot tub from its current location. I have a truck and trailer to transport the tub once I get it from the balcony it is currently on. Here is a picture of the site. Thanks for the advice!! endorfin
Seems to me you will need to use a crane service. Here is an example - you can google to find one in you area. It can reach over the house. I think I've read this costs $300 to $500 but don't really know. Did you ask the current owner how it was put in place? Asherah
Do you think I would be able to take the tub apart? It already needs some leaks fixed in the plumbing, and for what I paid for the tub, it wouldn't be worth the money for a crane.
endorfin
I wouldn't take it apart. The best way to get help in the forum would be to provide more info. What brand, model, dimensions and weight? What is the house layout? Is the exit on the top floor or bottom floor? (i.e. if you go through the house, is it a clear shot?). Hot tubs are shipped on one end (but you need to figure out which end). Looks like you can go into the house from the sliders. You can move it using furniture dollies. I'm guessing it was there already when the current owner moved in? Otherwise, why not just ask the current owner how it was originally moved into place? See if your local rental place has a duct jack with enough capacity. They make them to 1500#s Couple sheets of plywood. Tip the tub up onto the forks and roll it slowely back then lower it down. This of course will require removal of enough railing.
