healthymom
We just put in a Magnapool system last year and when doing my research I had come across this forum when we were trying to make a decision about what kind of system to put in. We had a salt pool at our previous home and my little girl who has dermatitis would always have problems as it irritated her skin too much. I researched Magnapool and it sounded like a wonderful system and a good friend of ours had one and raved about it. Well now we have had our pool in for over 12 months and we just love it. My little girls skin condition has actually improved. I don't usually get on these sites to post comments but if anyone is wanting to to know if it is a good system, it is, its fantastic the best water quality, its always clear and our skin actually feels softer when we get out, its amazing. We also don't backwash much at all compared to our other salt pool which he had to all the time. This system actually does what it says and I just want to spread the word so other people and their families can get the same enjoyment out of their swimming pool as we do now. Their website is www.magnapool.com if anyone wants to research it.
quantumchromodynamics
It looks like a typical salt system. They just use Magnesium chloride and Potassium Chloride to add the salt instead of sodium chloride. The only thing the system needs is the chloride. The sodium, magnesium or potassium are irrelevant. factorfiction
It appears to be a marketing scam. It is just a salt chlorinator making chlorine but also has magnesium & potassium chloride added to the salt mix. There is more information including comments from the inventor just Google the words "whirlpool magnapool" or go to this link http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1529192
waterbear
Psuedoscience and snake oil. It's just a SWCG that uses potassium and magnesium chloride instead of sodium chloride. This is the second thread that has started on it. Here is the first. Both threads seem to be almost an attempt at advertising the system so I am going to watch this one also to see how it develops. Many manufacturers of less than above board products use the technique of posting as a newbie who heard about their product and ask if it's any good to get 'testimonials' from supposed satisfied users. I suspect this thread and the other one I linked to are of this sort. It is interesting that the OP in the first thread has made a total of 1 post in this forum and I suspect that the OP of this thread will do exactly the same.
