Huhyoulostme
Hello, This is kind of a dumb question, but I want to make sure I get things right. After reading a few posts on there about initial startup procedures and maintenance I want to make sure I get things done right the first time. My fill water read: Ph 6.7 Ta 20 Ch o Fc o Tb 0 Ca 0 Th 0 Temp 56 First thing I did after filling was to add my bromine feeder, shock to start to rase my ca to 20-30, and sodium bromide. 15 hours later: Ph 6.9 Ta 10 Ch 3 Fc 3 Tb 3 Ca 0 Th 0 Temp 94 I started to add calcium and am at 100 where I want to be. However as I tried to rase the ta to 80 the ph went up. When the ta was 30 the ph was 7.3, ta 40 ph was 7.6 Right now the ta is 50 and the ph is 8.0. Should I add ph down and keep adding ta up until hit 80ta and a ph of 7.6? Or just keep ta at 40 so the ph drops to 7.6. The jests have been running on high for the last two hours as I add the calcium and ta plus. I'm guessing the ph will drop a little as soon as the aeration stops. Sorry for the dumb question I just want to get things done right.
