jcgoldie
Hello, I just registered to this forum. I've been reading it for a few days and would like to thank everyone for the great info. Based on what alot of very informed people here have said about the importance of buying from reputable dealers, I suspect that buying a spa on ebay wont get alot of support. Still, there is one seller that seems to have exceptional prices and exceptional feedback who I'd like to see if anyone has any experience with or knowledge of that might help me decide. The ebay store is called "The spa guy" and they have several buy it now auctions and a website at spaguyusa.com. If anyone has any experience or info to share it would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Jason
JerimiahR
Buy local. It's really the only safe bet. Not to mention, you can get local support later on, which will come in handy should you ever need it. If you look through some older threads, you'll find people that have posted here whom tried to purchase spas through eBay and other places. You ALWAYS take a risk buying anything from anyone on eBay. Keep that in mind.

Thanks, Jason I’ve seen far too many e-Bay horror stories regarding buying spas. It’s an incredible leap of faith and you'll be on your own when you receive it. The fact you're asking hear tells me you're thinking it might be an iffy proposition and it really is just that.

Thanks, Jason These are your run of the mill slapped together spa. You might get a good one, might not. The warranty is bad, only 2 years parts no labor. The pump listing is a lie. 7 hp pump yeah right. I am sure the frame is not well contructed. It is up to you, but I vote no
mickey4paws
I do a lot of shopping on Ebay, but I would never make such a large purchase. You might get a better price, but I think in the long run it won't be worth it. I agree with the other posters, buy local.
