Ralphyboy
After breaking the connection to the pump the pump leaked. I tried to hold the o ring up in the top mounted connection with vasilene but at 100 degees the o ring must have slipped. Is there another type of material that will help the o ring to stay inplace while joining the connection? Are new o rings recomended everytime you break the connection? Dr. Spa
NEVER use vasilene on O rings. Vasilene is an oil based product and will degrade the material the O rings are made out of.

Use Magilube made specificly for those O rings in spas and pools. Or....KY jelly

I cleaned the ring and the land. Did a better job of positioning the tubing on the pump before tightniong the collar. NO leak
