My Nose Is Telling Me Something Is Up!

Recommended Posts

My nose has been sensitive for the last 3 days in our tub. The last two days, I even sneezed on several occasions. The smell (but it doesn't smell that much though...) gets to my nose immediately and I start to have an "itchy" nose... and then, I sneeze one or two times. I have to sit up straighter so that my face is not too close to the water.

My ph is a bit high so I put some PH down in tonight. Could it be the PH??

We're using chlorine and I thought that I'm having a reaction since we have a pool.

It's not the same "smell"... it's hard to describe.

Advice anyone?

Chantal

PH being high can irritate your nose, so I would try getting that set first. Ozone will also cause some people to sneeze/cough. It also has a different smell, like the smell in a lightning storm. Its hard to describe. If you open the cover and turn the jets on for about 5 minutes before you get in it will dissipate the ozone if this is the cause since the ozone is suppose to shut off when the jets are turned on. Thats where I would start first.

I 'll know more tonight! Put some PH Down last night... we'll see when I get in tonight.

Didn't put any chlorine last night. We'll see if that helps too.

It will be harder to tell if it is the PH or chlorine if you do both at the same time. I don't think it is the chlorine unless your level is real high or real low and then you would have a definate chlorine smell.

I know both high PH and low PH bother my nose, so that would be my first guess.
