  1. I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from any of the dealers around me in Southwest Virginia. Prices were crazy high and availability sucked. I decided to buy a hot tub online. Very happy so far.
  2. Easy to search online for board repair, here is one. http://www.spa-tek.com/home.html
  3. I hope you don't end up with a large boat anchor. Good Luck
  4. So when it rains the water that hits the pool deck is going to run down under the hot tub . Is that how you want it? Usually you make the pad so the water runs off your pad under your hot tub, so not to deteriorate the under side of the tub.

  6. update: Okay, fired up the hot tub. Did find 2 small leaks not under pressure on the back off the lcd lights cascading water fall.(just constant dripping) surprising how much water can collect with it just dripping. Used silicone, put it on yesterday, waiting until this afternoon to put back the 3 inches of water I had to take out of tub to make the repair. Had to take off the one side panel to get at the lights to make the repair. Lets hope I got the silicone in the right spots to stop the leaks, wasn't exactly that easy to reach in and get to the lights.
  7. Try renting a trailer at your local Tractor Supply. Each store usually has one you can rent by the hour or for the day. They are pretty low to the ground so you won't have to lift it that high.
  8. Will do, got another question for you. I'm thinking of placing a regular 15 amp breaker in that spa box on side of the house with the 60amp gfci............ I want to run a 3 wire to a GFCI receptacle that I will mount onto the brick pillar that is about 5ft from tub, this receptacle will be facing toward the house, not the hot tub. Will be wired like this, is that okay? and will just the 60amp breaker in my house electric panel be okay or must I get a higher breaker in there to run the 15amp breaker additional to the 60amp? What size underground wire do I need to buy to run off the 15 amp breaker to the 120 GFCI Receptacle? Branch Circuit/GFCI Outlet
  9. Getting close now, just waiting for 60amp GFCI breaker to arrive via UPS tonight. I'm thinking of filling tub with water now. Check out my wiring, let me know if you see any issues. Yeah, Yeah I know the pvc pipe is exactly level, I'm a rookie though lol...did my best. No idea why the first picture is turned. It's not like that on the wall. lol I drilled the hole in the middle of the brick I thought but I think the drill wandered on me a little bit to as why it's not level with hole coming out of box. Had box installed first before drilling hole in wall....and there was no way I was taking it off the wall to redrill 3 more holes for the screws.
  10. Don't see that helping much at all, it's a dryer vent and those louvers will only open when there is a force of air opening those louvers, with no forceful air from your hot tub, The louvers will never open.
  11. Well I don't have 6/3 wire, but it looks like I'm going to have extra 6/2 wire, can I take out a single straight white wire out of that wire and use just for my neutral from house panel to gfci box? I'm only using 3/4" pvc pipe for going through 12" wall(cinderblock and brick) then about 3 ft over to GFCI box. I believe I can fit the 6/2 wire and a single white strand through the pipe and get it where I have to. So in total the run is about 6ft in total counting the wire in the house panel to get to the neutral bar in the GFCI Box? Would that be acceptable? code wise?
  12. Is the Neutral Wire in the Diagram above really needed for 3 wire system from Home Service Panel to GFCI Load Center Neutral Bar or is that just a wrong drawing for a 3 wire system? It's just drawn from neutral bar to neutral bar, seems like it is useless?
  13. Perfect, Thanks 3 wire install pulled off Spadepot.com Diagram shows a neutral white wire coming off the home service panel to the GFCI Load center, is that needed?
  14. You could go with one of these, add salt to the hot tub and this machine makes chlorine gases by sending low voltage into the water it makes chlorine gases and keeps your spa crystal clear and super clean, no smell of chlorine or faded swimsuits or damaging your hair. https://www.amazon.com/Saltron-Mini-Saltwater-Chlorine-Generator/dp/B01KQUVJH6/ref=sxin_15_ac_d_rm?ac_md=0-0-c2FsdCBjaGxvcmluZSBnZW5lcmF0b3I%3D-ac_d_rm_rm_rm&cv_ct_cx=salt+chlorine+generator&dchild=1&keywords=salt+chlorine+generator&pd_rd_i=B01KQUVJH6&pd_rd_r=c4123f8b-6d64-4487-9a02-4e0a6b9de861&pd_rd_w=NhTIJ&pd_rd_wg=p4Ftp&pf_rd_p=de2528a5-aaee-45ae-afe7-277ddc135414&pf_rd_r=M3S9S2N5FZNZ5N7VBNY3&psc=1&qid=1634484521&sr=1-1-12d4272d-8adb-4121-8624-135149aa9081
  15. I have the house panel 60amp breaker in hand, I plan on connecting both hot wires to the breaker in the bottom, does it matter which hot wire goes in on each side, or doesn't it matter? and the ground wire will go to the ground in the breaker panel. Now for the GFCI breaker, I assume I connect both hot wires in the bottom of the breaker, and again it doesn't matter which one goes in each right? and ground to ground in the spa panel? Now what about the neutral wire that I think will be coming out of the bottom of the GFCI breaker, do I just tape the end of that off or do I attach it to the neutral bar in the spa panel?
  16. Well doesn't seem to matter now anyway right, they said not to use the neutral (Middle Post) As you can tell I don't really know that much about electric, if you see something really wrong here please let me know and I will send an email or call the guy where I bought the tub from? If so let me know what to ask him?
  17. This is what was sent to me from the spa dealer guy I talked to on the phone as far as hooking up the electric. A 60 amp GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) should be placed somewhere between your spa and the electrical panel in your home for your spa. Most cities require this by code. Your electrician can provide these. Your spa needs to be hard wired with 220V wiring. The wire service includes (2 Hot, 1 Ground). Outdoor rated #6 or heavier wiring is recommended. Your wiring will originate from your home's electrical panel, run to the GFCI, and then be connected (hard wired) directly to the SmartTouch 2000 spa electrical pack inside your spa. There is no electrical plug on the spa. The spa pack electrical panel is located on the same side as your topside control and approximately directly below (Labeled ‘controller & heater’ in the schematic). If you are using conduit under a deck or concrete pad, this is the area it should terminate. Your electrical panels can be accessed by removing the exterior cabinet panel on that side. You need to connect the black and red wires to L1 and L2. The white load neutral is not required with our spas so you can leave it disconnected. ACC has modified the terminal connections so now you can't hook up a white neutral to the pack (There were electricians re-wiring the SmartTouch 2000 packs in the past and causing problems). With the above directions, I don't think there is any other way I could have wired up the spa control panel? Agree?
  18. Using 6/2 wire, only has white and black and ground in the wire, both white and black are hot right, doesn't matter which one goes on L1 or L2 right? The post(neutral) in the middle that I didn't use has no wires to it at all. So I put the white one on the post that had a white wire wire on and the black wire I put on the post that had a black wire on it. Is that wrong?
  19. Interesting, have never seen that manual before., my guess is they had problems with these tubs using the neutral extra wiring, I have talked to the guy also on the phone, said only 2 hots and ground were needed. I believe that manual you found is old or something and not currently the right way to wire their now newer tubs? I guess if something doesn't run right I will be calling for the service department under the warranty. It's weird, some of that manual you linked above, they sent me pdf's of some of the pages of that manual but not all. The electrical parts of that manual they did not send me, probably not to confuse me when wiring up the tub. Only wiring info I got on the tub , is what I copied and pasted what you see above about 2 hots and a ground, no neutral needed.
  20. Got the #6 wire installed in the hot tub panel, now waiting for the the CH60SPA panel to arrive to proceed wiring on side of house and then inside to the house electric panel.
  21. I will take my time and not get frustrated and git-r-done! The hot tub out there looks lonely, my wife and I can't wait to get out there. Have some items coming in next week in the mail, hopefully within the next 7 - 10 days we get it filled and running. I'm getting tired running around to home improvement stores and electric supply houses and not having what I want. Decided to just order it online and wait the 3 to 5 days for delivery. All of the posters on here have helped greatly and much appreciated. Thank you
