  1. as your looking at spas, you will here this all the time, i love the one on the jets,,, they have berings and you have to replace them all the time!!!! thats good, i have sold spas with the waterway jets with bearings, for years,, i have probably replaced 10 -12 jets that i can remember , my own spa is from 90 i have only replaced one... All 3 brands are good brands, Jacuzzi owns Sundance and made in the same factory and 2 totally differnt builds( why)???, if you look at the loungers the 8000 model lounger the leg area is short. Insulation of thermal chamber they all work, just a matter of preferance...
  2. did water get into the circuit board or on top of the pump,,, generally that could cause that, it could have run down under the topside control seal, i would make sure you have power to your disconnect first, then see if you have power to the tub... ( electricians can check that out for you.) but it may be wet on the board and blew a fuse on the board
  3. I would check with your local Sundance dealer see if they have had that occurance before, Does your Sweetmater have a 24/7 circulation pump. if it does that will run all the time, but if it is your main pump that comes on to run for the circulation it should be 2 hour every 12, you might check your filter mode see what it is set at, it may have be on filter constantly check out you manual on the settings options
  4. you might run into a problem with ordering a new suction fitting , if before the VGB act is to what i have understood, that they are not available anymore, i have run into this with some our manufacturers , were they can't sell them,
  5. problems with leaks, we used to sell them we did for about 4 years we stopped selling them about 4 years ago, i can tell you we sold lots of them, did not see many problems at all with them, a few pumps, a few boards, a few topsides, on the leaks! we had one spa with a legitamte leak many others were caused by the jets they would become loose on the threads allowing water to back through . once tightened they were gone,, the biggest beef our customers had was the heat stick and no true heater,,,in our neck of the woods in the winter would take a long time to heat....
  6. great news, it a nice spa we have one on our showroom...
  7. psychospaowner, after you filled the spa it started, are there any error codes on the topside, possible air lock on the circ pump, if not it could be the temp sensor, How old is the filter,,,,
  8. yes i would agree that looks like crazing,,, it should not pose a problem, as for warranty most warranties will cover splitting, cracking , delaminating, but not crazing,,,,
  9. SDspa, Great to hear,, definately show some pix when you get it in.. We would love to see them...
  10. SDSpa, great to see you hot tub purchase, very detailed,,, i will say great purchase, you will love the Amore Bay, there is nothing like it in the look,, Our customers are very happy with that model... Great to see you using the forum... Masanori. glad to see your still enjoying the Amore Bay.
  11. mattfort, I do not think you will find much on either of these brands here, Not very big manufacturers. Alot of it will depend on if they are in the price range you want to pay, Also if they are in good shape,, I don't think these were spas that sold over 4-6 thousand to start with... You may be able to wheel and deal more....good luck
  12. yeh looking at that if you don't have a 2" rambit you going to have to go farther past the 45 degree elbow, at least 6 inches past that.....
  13. i see it leaking , is it just coming out of one of the ports, or is it also leaking at the joint before. If it just at the port , you may be able to cut the flex of near the port and you might be able to hone out the flex in the port, use of a ram bit works good then reglue in the flex...if it is also leaking at the other end of the manifold also, you will need to remove pvc farther in, past that 45 degree elbow i believe i see, . that is not a fun one on the manifold...
  14. No i did not assume thats why i asked the question. If you have seen on hear over the years we have some people show up, spout their junk( which everyone has an opinion on here which i can respect. but they blab they have the best and start putting up so called facts, you show they are wrong. You point them out and they disapear, Most of us on here are on multiple forums with the same name or as close as we can get... So i do not have a problem with going on both forums thats not the point here. There are multiple posts on both forums form the same names not different,, so if you read the rest of the replys Walleye( MarkyMark sees were we are coming from...I don't have a problem sharing my knowledge with everyone.
  15. if your jet pumps have an air lock, you can hear them humm, but no water movement out of jets, on a 24/7 circ pump you won't have ozone working and no heating,
  16. great point Roger, and great point spatech,,, yes i with you guys there are some good spas in that range but you start losing features, fit and finish , definately and when you get a service call you start to see the trend...the stories i hear....i should write a book...
  17. glad to see up and running again, air locks are common...
  18. if the odor is coming from the under side of the cover exposed to the tub, you can take a chlorine dilutte with water and scrub the under side let sit for a little bit. then rinse off..you might try that...
  19. Walleye, Yes that is me i had to add the EJF because could not use the spa guy other wise i would have,,, was not trying to cause a stink on the name,, just the spam thing.... thats great you are trying to learn,, you saw my post on your thread which i just replied again,, and in my post i notesd that you are not a fan of foam no the other way.... there was my hoest opinion of them, the only thing i can add, is it is a littler tougher to get throught to the techs than my other manufacturers.. usually have to leave a mesasage and wait for a call back, and not have in a parts book makes it a little tougher,,, that would be my gripe with them...again as i said i have nothing to hide..... bdubya i know you have not been on here as long as some of us,, did not want this to be another like Master spa salesman showing up then disappearing,,, di you ever see any of those threads...thats why i asked....
  20. i don't think you can , i can't remember for sure but when we sold Dreamamker i don't remember being able to change that....
  21. Marquis is a very good brand,, The Evolution is a decent spa, we just delivered one of those 2 weeks ago for a Costco customer... the biggest thing is service after the sale,,, delivery , setup, ,, the Evolution seemed to bilt fine, except for the maifold on the model we saw the manifold was on one side of the spa , i believe the manifold( which had multiple manifolds glued to together on one side ,, ithink if there was an issue there it would be a lot of work ,, they also had a manifold glued up high with really no suport.. but again the point here is the service aspect of it, that is why you would be paying a little more,, but if you figure it out, its a lot closer than you think, add delivery from the driveway to the backyard, add 300.00 there if you want a lifter add 250.., chemicals for start up 50.00, add ozone 250.00 so the price actually gets to be a lot closer .....
  22. walleye, saw your thread on the other site,,,MarkyMark, exactly the same....
  23. shumsy, its not uncommon to go as far as 50 miles for a dealer, In our area in Eastern Washington, we service a big area. it easy for us to sell a spa into the farming ares and have 70 to 80 miles no big deal, we service a 150 mile area, treat it the same, but the customer knowing the farther they are out, upfront they know they may have a rip charge to cover fuel....I would look at the other brands, D1, Sundance, and Marquis, this will also give you a good idea on how the Hot Springs dealer is compared to the others...
  24. spawn, that was good i was thinking the same thing,, from WWE football league.....
  25. masanori, glad to hear you back up and running, its nice to hear the comments on the D1 service Dept....Thats why as a dealer we a very fortunate to carry D1
