  1. Well put Term, lets hope we can get more people to "get it". I have been offended by the recent rantings on this site, but I'm going to stick around because of those people that do "get it" Welcome to the " Do not feed the child that whines" program.
  2. Nope, Not unless it's the Master Spa Traveling circus.
  3. Amanda, come back, all is forgiven, join the "Don't feed the child that whines" program. Enrollment is free.
  4. HotSprings, Marquis & Sundance are in my humble opinion the top three spa manufacturers. You would be happy with any one of those. Cal spa is no way making 800 units a day, with or without robots. A ten year old Grandee, if in good condition will last you another ten years. But would'nt you want a new one in stunning sterling marble with muti colored led lights. Check one out in a darkened mood room, with a Spaudio system.........awesome!!
  5. I say potatoe, you say potaata.
  6. Go to the hotspring web site, customer corner section.
  7. Well, it did'nt take too long for this post to go down hill did it!
  8. $1500 for a 3 year old Prodigy is a great deal, I also would question why they are selling it so low, you could get 3k for one easily if it is in good condition.
  9. I would like to appologize to any new comers to this forum. This used to be a place for people to come to get proffesional advice for their questions and concerns about Pool & Spa ownership. Unfortunately, certain members of this forum have led us down a slippery slope of unproffesional commentary, from which we may not recover. Anyone veiwing this forum for the first time right now would quite rightly never return. If any of you gentlemen/women out there have any interest in returning this site to what it should be, I plead with you to desist from feeding this fire of destruction any more. It is very simple to do, when the child whines, ignore it!!!
  10. Pg rider, Do not listen to anything Jim says, he has a split personality right now.
  11. The landmark is a good spa, but there is no way they paid 14k for an 02 model, maybe 7-8k. Offer them 3k -4k and you'll have a good deal.
  12. $12k for a 05 vista sounds a little high, but if the spa is in excellant condition I'd offer her 7000, the warranty is not transferable.
  13. It is a decent tub, it is in the Solana line by Watkins, maker of HotSprings. So, the quality is there, it just does not have a lot of bells and whistles. If it feels comfortable for you, go for it. If you have any other questions let me know.
  14. You step out of the office for a couple months, see what happens, your still talking about the same subject!
  15. It's only my humble opinion, which means nothing, as I stated. That's what a forum is for, peoples opinions, you have yours, which I respect, and I have mine. I never stated that the Caldera was an inferior spa, any thing made by Watkins is a well built machine. I am educated about the Watkins products, I have personally sold about 800+ units in the last 7 years, and guess what, I have an opinion, and it's humble!
  16. Spazazz, Pina Colada, Sensuous coconut aromatherapy crystals.
  17. Most dealers have to be competative in their pricing, but have to sell the spa at a reasonable profit to stay in buisness. When I give my customers a price, it is my bottom line. I don't want to haggle, it's a waste of yours and my time. We don't post our pricing because of our competition, who would love to know what our bottom line is. I give non haggle customers what freebies I can for making my life easier, hagglers get NOTHING.
  18. If you want to get a spa at the same price of a USA spa, move to america, then you can work your as.. off with no health benifits and one weeks vacation a year, while you relax in your spa on your one day of a week.
  19. I think the days of the hard sell are fading fast, most sales people these days are truly there to help you make the right decision for YOU. Anyone from the old school of sales will not make much of a living with todays savvy customers. I educate my consumers on what to look for in a quality spa or pool. I even refer them to my competitors, being honest and up front is the best sales tool you can use, lets face it, if the customer likes your product, but hates you, they probably will buy somewhere else. You have to sell yourself first.
  20. With the vanguard, you can have all the jets on at the same time.
  21. I also show my customers MSRP prices, but when you think about it, I could just make them up to make my sale prices look better.
  22. I agree with poollady, polymer wall is the way to go, less maintenance down the road.
