  1. Thank you again! I plan on it!
  2. I am about to purchase the Solana SX as I felt a little cramped in the TX. I have read that the TX is a popular model. To my understanding the only difference is the size. Is this correct or are there other differences? I can only use a 110 spa. I have wet tested most of the brands of 110 spas and found this one to be extremely comfortable - fit like a glove. I am basically the only user (except when my teenage son can tear himself away from the computer . . . ) and am in need of the therapeudic benefit.
  3. If you've wet tested and one clearly is more comfortable (for you) then typically you go that route but certainly you want to factor everything in. Is the one you like better (that comes with the shorter warranty) also the one that is also less expensive? Thanks for the response. Yes, the Solana is less expensive and it comes with a 1-year warranty.
  4. I have wet tested 2 spas I like: Solana SX (made by Watkins) and the Sundance Caprio. I really loved the way I fit in the Solana and the Caprio was nice, although not quite as comfortable. I am concerned that the Solana only comes with the 1-year warranty as opposed to the Caprio but I am leaning towards the Solana for the comfort. The price difference is about $800 between the 2 spas. I'm so turned off by the bad-mouthing between the different dealers that I am about to give up. I can't get a unbiased opinion. Would I be making a mistake by buying either of these spas? -cbee
  5. I am pretty much the only person who is going to use my small spa (110). I don't want harsh chemicals as I am very sensitive. Which would be better for me as far as ease of use, etc., Baquaspa or Nature2? I am getting nervous about all the work involved to care for the spa. -cbee
  6. I really liked this little tub. Very very comfortable - ugly skirt but that's not giving me stress relief. Anyone know about this spa? Is it a decent one? -cbee
  7. I feel like Goldilocks as I have been trying to find a great fit for me in a 110 spa. I have been told in order to have a 220 spa I would have to put major bucks into my electrical panel, etc. So I have been on a quest. I did try the Sundance Caprio and it was nice (got a price of $5K total including steps, cover, lifter, etc. ). I got into a Hot Springs Prodigy but it wasn't filled so I can't really tell on that one. The Solana SX is ugly but it was very comfortable but no water in that one either. Needless to say the Hot Springs dealer didn't have nice things to say about the Sundance Caprio's filtration system (which made me nervious as they said the microclean system was inferior to theirs) and I'm just sick of hearing conflicting things. This is a major expense for me so I'd love some advice. I suffer from fibromyalgia so I'm not looking to get beat up by jets. Gentle will do. Looking for a comfortable fit (I'm 5'6", weigh 130). This spa is only for me. Can I get some straight talk please????? -cbee
  8. Sorry. I meant "personal" info and/or experience with one. I have been on all the websites, etc. My goal is to buy the right one and it helps to hear from other consumers. -cbee
  9. Does anyone know anything about this spa? Thanks. -cbee
  10. I seem to be having a very difficult time finding the right spa for myself. I am looking for a spa for myself that is very comfortable with gentle whirpool action. I'm not interested in powerful jets as they seem to push me out of my position and I need to use my muscles to hold on to the seat! Defeats the whole purpose of the relaxation. I have tried a couple of spas (but they neck pillows are too high causing my head to bend forward, etc. I suffer from fibromyalgia and need this spa for a good therapeudic soak. Any ideas?
  11. Thanks for the reply. I got to try the Jetsetter tonight and I didn't like the way I fit in it. The neck pillow hits me in the middle of the back of my head causing my neck to crunch forward. Really didn't like the jets either. I am just so stuck. I want a comfortable fit where I can just kind of float. I still haven't been able to try the Hot Spot Trinidad because there is no floor model. I see now how important it is to try the spas. The Hot Springs Prodigy has been recommended but not sure of that either. I just want a good therapeudic soak. I don't even like the jets. Any suggestions would be appreciated
  12. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Hot Springs Jetsetter? I was quoted $5,000, including the lifter, steps, tax, delivery and installation. My neighbor works at the store. He had previously quoted me $3,800 for the Hot Spot Trinidad including all the above. Is the Jetsetter worth the extra $1,200? This is going to be a therapeudic spa for me so the fact that it is smaller is of no significance. Thanks. -cbee
  13. Thank you all for responding so quickly. This is really a wonderful site. I'm glad to know that my neighbor is being a "good" neighbor with this deal. -cbee
  14. Thanks for your response. I am getting the spa for $3,850 which includes the lifter, steps, chem kit, tax and delivery. Do you think that's a good deal? My neighbor works at the store so I'm hoping he's giving me a good deal. -cbee
  15. Hi. I am interested in buying a hot tub for myself. I suffer from fibromyalgia and have a lot of stiffness and pain. I'm not too concerned with the jets as I would truly just like a good long gentle soak. I was looking into the Hot Spot Trinidad which I can get a good deal on. I'm looking to spend no more than about $4k with some of the extras like the retractable cover. Does anyone have any experience with Hot Spot or this model? Also if you have any ideas for my situation it would be much appreciated. -cbee
