  1. In my line of business we call it a PITA........ Pain In The Ass There is a point at which you realize that no matter what you do the customer will never be satisfied. At that point it is by definition a "no win" situation. It is better to "divorce" the customer than put up with the continued work load that serving them would put on the business. At the same time, no matter what you do, or how good your intentions as a business, it will just continue to make the situation worse. I have bought back $25,000 motorcycles just to get the monkey off my back. I am not saying it's Wannago's fault, sometimes it just happens. It can be as simple as the customer and the salesperson both having a bad day, then people get upset, and plant their feet on both sides...and voila! I will say though that by virtue of your extremely long post about this that you have very clear and precise expectations for your purchase, this by definition can make it very hard for a business to make things right by you. anyways....pretty cool that you got your money back. Good for you! LMAO P.I.T.A ha ha ha ha!- that is funny never heard of that!
  2. Hi Rusty, thanks for the response! So this may be a dumb question but do you know how that stuff works? I don't understand how it could find the leak and seal it and not affect any tubing for clogging any jets?? Thanks, hottublady
  3. Hmm... well I have a 2001 Hot Springs Jetsetter, and I had it drained for a few months in the summer-it was too hot to use a hot tub- and just fired it back up a little over a month back..I didn't see a change in my bill... if I had to guesstamate I would say my tub runs me around 9-12 a month. I couldn't see any real difference in my bills, either. That's why I waited a year until I was able to compare two years of data side-by-side. Even then, there could be other factors such as a hotter summer, colder winter, or lifestyle changes that have occurred resulting in an increase with or without the hot tub. I mean, seriously, a $14 monthly electric bill increase is like a penny on the sidewalk compared to all my other expenses. Supplies cost me more than that! Hi Zroger! Well... I've had my tub now for 8 years so its hard for me to remember what the bill was before the hot tub lol! but during the summer my electric bill was around $76 for the whole house and my last bill was $87 and thats after I fired it up and had it running for over a month. I will see what it is in December when it gets real cold... but thats when I use the heat in my house so that will run up my bill... I dunno...
  4. Hi Dr, That's a good question. The salesman didn't say anything about blemishs... So if a hot tub has a blemish a company would sell it for 50% off?? Thanks for your reply, hottublady
  5. I drove past a dealer close to my house that sells clearwater they had huge signs in front that said warehouse sale. The warehouse is located here in washington where I believe they make them. I went into the showroom and asked about the sale and they said that I could purchase a new Clearwater for 50% off!! It makes me wonder how they are able to do such big discounts, or if they marked the prices way up... I didn't go to the warehouse sale because it was too far away, but does anyone know any insight on this company? Don't get me wrong! I love my hot spring jetsetter and wouldn't ever get another brand, but I am a hot tub enthusiest (can't spell) so I like to know whats out there and compare it to what i currently have. Thanks, hottublady
  6. Have you tried this new stuff called silkbalance? I have been on it for a while now and my dealer told me that they have quite a few people with eczema and sensetive skin switch to it. I switched to it because they told me I don't have to test my water anymore, which I don't. And I don't have to add any start up chemicals. I still have to add shock when I get out though.. The silkbalance stuff is real gentle on the skin and they said its really good for the plumbing lines too. You should check it out. They have a lot of customer reviews on their website and some are from people with sensetive skin. -hottublady
  7. That is a good price! Thanks SpaTech all that info is just what I was looking for. Hopefully I will get a look at it this weekend. I will update the board when I see it. Another question is about the cushions and such. If they are in bad shape is it a big deal to replace them? Also I looked up the manual online and it seems as if the actual ozone system is an option. How would I tell if it has that option and if it is working? If it ends up as good as it seems I just need to figure how to get it home Hi, You can buy an ozone test kit here : http://www.olympichottubestore.com/spaozdekit.html it being a 2003?? I don't think the ozone is working that well or even if its working at all.. I would call the local dealer (service department) of Sundance in your area and tell them you are considering buying a used sundance and want to know more info about that particular tub. If you have the gentlemans name, number or address they should be able to look it up and tell you if any work has been done on it, how much he bought it for ect.. Good luck and let us know! hottublady

  9. I saw some stuff called fix a leak, its in a bottle and all liquid and your suppose to just run it through the pipes. I don't know if its good stuff or not though...
  10. Well... if you narrowed it down I would ask the dealer if they can give you a price guarantee for a year. If they sell it at a lower price, to send you the difference in a check. Some places will offer that now to gain business.. The sooner you buy it the faster you will be enjoying it. It really enhances the quality of your life... Let us know what you do! -hottublady
  11. It's the perfect time of the year to be getting a hot tub! Post pictures so we all can see!!
  12. Hmmm... I've never used the disposable ones, but mine last about 5 years. Yes they are very expensive but I think it weighs out if the disposable only last 2 months??? How long to the original Arctic filters last?
  13. Hello, I got the 2009 spa with top side controls. The colors are coastal gray with sand shell. I went with sand hoping it will hide any scratches that might happen down the road. The spa will be delivered in two weeks, so no pics yet. Nice color combo, I've been looking at the new ones and they sure are nice...keep going back and forth whether I should keep this one until it goes out..but it is a hot springs so that could be forever! Or sell this one on craigslist and get a new one with all the bells and whistles. I really like the double motto on the new ones and the larger cool down bench. Let us know how you like it when you get it all installed!
  14. What website? I would like to know if I have to replace mine in the future. Thanks! hottublady
  15. There is an ozone test kit you can buy to check if your tubs is still producting ozone, but besides that I don't know???
  16. Yippee! Welcome to the soaking family! I have a 2001 Jetsetter best money I ever spent. What year and what colors did you get? Can you post some pictures. Best Wishes, hottublady
  17. Hi Joe, I would get ahold of Cal Spa's Service department in your area tomorrow and talk to a tech over the phone. Best Wishes, hottublady
  18. Ahhh! I just bought a new cover... they can be expensive! On any cover you choose a nice hint to make it last longer is everyday open up your tub and wipe off the water build up with a shammy. Best Wishes, hottublady
  19. Hi Don, The Aria was consumer's best buy in 2008. And no-programming required on a hotspring. I know cause I own one. What do you like about both, and what do you dislike?
  20. I wonder why the seller just doesn't return the tub to costco and get a full refund??
  21. NOOOOOO!!!!!! Don't get a Thermo! Expensive piece of junk!
  22. I know someone who did that... her husband is in Afghanistan and she had 2 daughters. She didn't want all the neighbors to see them soaking (we live in a neighborhood were the houses are about an arms lengh from one another) so they put it in the garage until her husband came home and then they would move it outside. Her garage has a window in it so when they would use it she would just open up the window. She has had it in there for about 7 months now?? I think... But I haven't heard of any problems other than her and the girls love it!
