  1. no these are fairly easy to do drain spa and mark down on a piece of paper ware the wires go and watch out for the freeze protect line i cut them off at the pump take out the fitting then remove pump when putting it back together use some oring lube on the tube befor putting back on to the fitting after ti has been re-installed on the pump and the pump installed good luck Thank you so much! I noticed there are all sorts of brands of pumps. Should we stick with the Jacuzzi J Series brand pump or would there be another brand that we could also use? Thanks again! to save your self alot of grief stay with JACUZZI parts so that things will go back together with little or no effort

  6. go with the beachcomber 1made in canada 2 better looking spa 3from a service tech point of view much easier to work on witch means cheaper for you in the long run 4 cost wise get a model with a circ pump and main pumps again in the long run they are cheaper to run
  7. what are you looking for?and why?what model is in question more info would help
  8. sorry my friend can't help on this one, their are no HS out at this end of the world. i have moved one once it looked good and felt good sitting in dry . if it fits the family go for it happy tub'in and good luck
  9. coast and northwinds spa are ones i will not work on anymore, because they are of poor quality and construction in my view.and please be aware that their are some coast dealer on this forum that over promote these spa's. i my self like JACUZZI SUNDANCE and a local made in B.C spa called BEACHCOMBER. arctic seems to get beat up fairly often here as well.never seen a master spa yet some beat them up to at times as well.before you go and shop for a spa ensure you have enough power to run one.
  10. and a j470/480 just another rip-off it would be nice if these guys would come up with something own their own instead of constantly ripping off other people designs and do some R&D of their own
  11. Read the post above you twat, I am not a dealer and never will be. Nor do I promote Coast at every opportunity, unlike your good self who promotes the brand of Jacuzzi where and when ever possible. lowering yourself to profanity is a sign of low education
  12. I never claimed to be savvy when it came to Hot tubs, but I do know the importance of service and industry standards. You claimed Coast were crap, I simply questioned that opinion based on the fact that they are the sole Hot tub company to get awarded the latest ISO9001/2008 and have a list of other quality awards as long as your arm. I also stated that the dealer was possibly the most important thing to get right when choosing any product that's cost is considerable. I don't have anything against you personally but I do feel you have issues that need to be address. P.S. My dealer (someone I would class as a friend) has sold approximately 70 coast tubs so far and has yet to have a customer ring with an issue relating to their product, he sells two other brands which he rates as good solid products but it's his opinion that Coast are by far his best and one of a handful of first rate spas brands. I might add that he would never run another product down, instead choosing to promote reasons and features why his products are better which in my opinion is good business practice, someone that you could learn from. for some one who claims not to be spa "savvy" you sure post a lot about spa's, are you sure you are not a coast dealer ? because you sure seem to be blowing there horn hard and alot? Usually when a customer makes a decision based on their fact finding and research, they will stand behind their belief. Footie is a proud owner of a Coast Spa which to most everyone else on here is no different than any other proud new spa owner. There is no reason to hide if you are a dealer or not. I am a Coast dealer and have no reason to disguise it. You seem to post on every thread which has the Coast name even if the thread or Coast part has become irrelevant. Whether you like Coast or not you could take Footie's advice and not bash them because all that does is question your credibility regardless how long you have been servicing hot tubs. just to let you and your dealer buddy footie know today i will be cutting up yes cutting up my 3rd coast spa to remove it from someones yard.this one is getting a Jacuzzi like the first one the second one went with a BC all three of these jobs claim coast to be the worst investment they have made in a spa enjoy your day as i know i will be enjoying mine and when i am done i will post what i find inside.
  13. Is that cal spa up and running? If so inspect it all the way around for moisture around the base. As far as your gazebo question it really comes down to what you want. If your looking to have some privacy so people can not look down into the spa when your in it then yes a gazebo is great for that. I personally like the spa out in the open, but that is just me. If there are no problems with the spa your looking at a spa and gazebo for 1K is a smoking hot deal. But if the spa is not filled and running move on and look to something else. and look for blisters if you can run your hand over as much of the spa as you can mostly in the floor and foot well sides
  14. this is bogus. check with your local BBB and see what is up with this ask them to show you in writing on this in your warranty.speak to a lawyer maybe

  16. It must be different in the US and Canada because over here the Elite comes fully foam filled. I agree, HotSpring is more of a match for Coast's Elite and Luxury models. And HS is a very good brand, though filter costs are a little steep. The only thing I never liked about the HS was the lounger, when I used it I would float out of the seat, though the system they use is very effective IF you can stay put. If I were him I would also consider D1 and Sundance as both brands also do cheaper models. Going to look at D1 and Sundance today. I have ruled out the Coast Spa as my local dealer (the only one in a 100 mile radius) has a horrible reputation, so I dont have the confidence that the service aspect will be there after the sale. I have been quoted in the low $11k range on the Hot Spring Vista, this dealer has a great reputation. My question is, what are you getting from a $10k plus spa that the $5 - 7k spas don't offer? Even if build quality is better and the Hot Spring will last longer, I would think the cheaper spas should still last 7 to 10 years, no?? At that point I can almost buy 2 of the cheaper spas and spread the cost over 10 years (one now and a replacement ten years from now). Thoughts??? Costco has an Evolution (Strong) spa for $4k..... It's unfortunate that your Coast dealer is not up to par. If you are not comfortable with them then you probably have made the right choice by ruling out Coast since you do not have a reputable dealer. Good luck with your search. Back from out trip shopping. I can safely say I have narrowed it down to the following: D1 - Chairman - I like the NeckFlex Jet System (at least conceptually); Jacuzzi J-480 and the Hot Spring Vista. The dealers have the Chairmand and J-480 available for wet testing. Our Hot Spring dealer does not have a Vista that can be wet tested. It was however, very comfortable on the dry test, but I know that does not really mean anything. I am going to scheudle a wet test with the whole family this weekend. I am an independent spa tech who used to work on coast spa's,with all the spa's i have worked on i have found the Jacuzzi line to be about the best out their.for 8 years i work with coast and found them to a poorly made over priced product for what they ask for. i have seen many of coast spa dealer cost's when receving spa shipment and 6k for a northwind is a gouge.
  17. for someone who posts a lot about spas you did not know of something so simple?
  18. dont do the coast spa they can be hard to get help from and they do leave a lot up to the dealers to deal with
  19. try finding an old NSPI manual this what i did and works pretty go for me
  20. you two coast spa dealers may be a we bit confused are you sure this is a calspa and not a coast spa this is something like they would but out and say it's a #1 spa
  21. knock the nest down and put some Vaseline on the nest anchor then they will not be able to rebuild the nest in the same spot
  22. With the power off remove the circ board from the spa pak and look at the back of it. In the picture you posted their is some "blue smoke"residue under the power leads, i have seen this before and you may have cooked the relays that run the heater.this was quite common on gecko s class spa pak's for awhile they have now fixed that issue but others still have the issue once in a while good luck
  23. 1/ Are you now an American citizen? If not then someone call the Immigration cause we have an illegal alien. 2/ Do you work for a dealer that sells Jacuzzi? If not then why do you promote Jacuzzi at every opportunity? WOW 1 spelling mistake and the English accuse me of being a colonist.what do you care in the U.K. about my citizenship?SO again I am not a U.S. citizen nor am i illegal here(thanks to the wife). I do not work for a jacuzzi dealer either(independent spa service)YET the JACUZZI line IS one of the best spa's out in the spa world that i have had the pleasure of working on.
