  1. I just clicked on that url/soundlink...it sounds to me like someone is trying to tune their guitar....and can't seem to ever get it quite right. Does he or anyone else NOT on drugs consider that music? Freakin scary!
  2. This is tough to answer lol. If you're referring to the self proclaimed spa lord of the universe..........He's entertaining,at his expense of looking like an idiot at times. He also crosses the line on average,1 out of 3+ posts. I would ban him if he is truly a detriment to this site, and causes more harm than good. As I previously mentioned,he adds a unique/bizzare flair to the boards, I and others would miss his posts/thinking. It's a toss-up as far as I'm concerned P.S. ... Food for thought...... Of all the dealers/salespeople...... Is there anyone out there that even remotely resembles this person,in an online setting/venue?
  3. Jim,could you explain to me.....how a person might drown/get entraped while using a "Hot-Springs" spa? I believe Term illustrated awhile back, the likelyhood of a person/baby,being entraped in a hot-springs spa. How do you see it Jim?
  4. Figured Rim_the_Jim would of responded by now. Very likely,he doesn't have an answer off the top of his head, and will answer after some home made-up BS,in 2+ weeks.
  5. You sound like you're in need of a cyber tissue. Booooooo Hoooooooooooo I feel your pain Conjuna,I really really do! Looks like your 6-8 blocks from my old HS Gompers. Scary place too, when you least expected it and weren't looking, you could be thumped over the head and raped on the spot for your HS letterman SwEaTeR LOL (still semi chuckling thinking about it) Grandpa lived right off of Carlson....on the highest hill in El Cerrito, block off of San Pablo ave.
  6. Where do you see anger,in my posts? Not angry in the least Conjuna lol. You think this site or you,has any REAL bearing on my personal life,or my business? So you UNDERSTAND(as you like to use with others) I find you comical in nature, and a person that thrives on reactions. Have I and others, reacted with you,to stimulate your limited writing skills? Here's a URL dedicated to you...and it's not in anger, but moreso poking fun AT YOU... http://jim%20arjuna.youarelame.com/ And feel free to sue me for defamation of character Oh,do you think all the readers look upon you as the spa messiah.......and say to themselves, this guy sure knows hiz stuff, why do these people doubt the real word of truth etc etc? (I'm sure you feel this way Jimbo LOL) Starting to get deep in here,I'm honestly holding back at the moment.
  7. It's not a hate, nor hatred I feel for/about you Conjuna lol...but believe what you will. As I stated in the past,I don't like you,nor your ethics/morals. Hatred is pretty strong word you use lol. I don't actually pity you either,as you seem to have half a brain, but choose to use it in a negitive fashion on these boards I.E. my spas are great, everything else is sub-par etc etc. Can you provide some facts in these so called "lies" that you choose to state about a certain company/s? My spa has been a great(do I dare to use a superduper word as Conjuna would use and use "outstanding"?) value for my 3+years of ownership....and I can hope that it will continue in the near and long term future. Yes I read your opinionated idea/s about jets. Neat that you would inform me of that LOL. As I was tellin someone a few hours ago....I love seeing what you have to write/share. Keeps things interesting to say the least/grin. You state in a 3rd person context that I got ripped off...and I'm continuing to argue about it. Where have I stated this? Can you please show me where I have said this? As you stated this, and lord knows you never tell a lie/falsehood....certainly you can back this latest statement of yours up,correct? In summary,I predict Conjuna will spin this in another direction, and or ignore this and move onto his next preaching lol. P.S. ... this is getting a little/alot beyond the topic of discussion, and has little/nuttin to do with spas. (not that I'm complainin,as Conjuna is 1 of a kind, much alike the village iddiott)
  8. To a degree you're correct Jimbo. And in the same context, the wealthy and the corp injunears have sterred it in that direction. Yer type of customers Jimmy boy lol. Conjuna,do you realize you're a mental case,or do you put on a facade for everyone....to create a reaction/get noticed?
  9. How do I join this JIMinator clan,if it's a positive thing?
  10. Maybe Conjuna hacked into the database here, and removed your post? Hard to say as,Conjuna will do anything to get a reaction.
  11. If it floods/leaks for some unknown/godly reason.....what potential problems do you see? Does the floor have a drain etc? Will the floor carry the load? And I have heard too, that you need proper venilation with a hot tub. Lastly, have you thought out the openings you have,I.E. doorways etc.....that will permit you moving/installing the tub? GL with it,and let us know what you do/did.....and what you learned etc
  12. I've always found Roger to be helpful, and respectful of others. I personally, happen to value Rogers opinions as,he tells it like it is,and doesn't beat around the bush etc. Conjuna on the other hand, garnishes a different kind of respect from me lol.
  13. I thought Denniss was the concrete guy? grin. I'm just a lowly tile/stone mason, who has played in the mud for 20 years too long lol. 1st off,if you're going to fill the void/low spot in your concrete, you need to link/bond to the old slab.....esp important as you're not adding very much as far as thickness. There's a product called "Ardex" that will work great in your application. It's more expensive than average concrete, but offers much more strength with thin/skmmed areas, verses concrete. Tile and carpet layers use it when filling shallow depressions,and/or skimming from X to nothing etc. You can use concrete, but you will see that as your thickness isn't a minimum on 3/4" it will crack over time. Bet yours and my life on it lol. As Roger mentioned, 1/4" ain't much....and if was me,I would install the filter/drain,on the lowside of the concrete. I did that on mine,if I recall,I think I had close to 1" in 8' pitch. Unless you're looking for the waterline in the tub etc,you really can't tell in mine. GL
  14. I'm done with this thread. Having been a mason over 20 years,I guess I don't know wtf I'm takin about. It's all yours Dennis!
  15. HERES A COUPLE links of where I post/BS etc.... http://xxx.johnbridgexxx/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=39371 http://xxx.johnbridgexxx/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=39399
  16. I doubt it will fail. Compaction is 1 of the keys to it. Concrete compresses under it's own load while being poured. When I float a shower pan/counter-top/floor etc.....I compact the mix I use with a mag float etc. I would be highly confident in my ability.....using 3"s of sand and portland, compacted and hydrated properly......to set a spa over,or even a car etc. What dennis isn't mentioning,is the distances etc regarding the use of rebar. Just an FYI,expansion joints inside are every 20' outside, every 16' . Your pad is probably an 8x8 "free-floating" slab, and as you're not landing a heli on it etc and exposing it to constant vibration....you'll be fine. Trust me! P.S. ... Having rebar/wire in it can't hurt,it can only strengthen the concrete, and give the "crystals" more to grow around. In your case,I wouldn't sweat it.
  17. I'm a tile/stone mason....and what you say Dennis isn't entirely true. It's the aggregate, and how long the crystals grow in the cement/portland......that determines the strength etc. Rebar/wire etc is a form of an aggregate...it gives the portland something to bond to. As he's not landing a helicopter on the pad etc....he should be fine My concerns in his area would be......if the contractor he had to do his pad, used plastic etc underneath the pad. He lives in a freeze/thaw area.....and in his case, you want a free-floating slab. My spa pad has about an 1/8th per foot drainage/pitch. Been working fine for me for over 3 years.
  18. Get ready BigD! Now that you confessed to owning a Caldera spa,Conjuna will eagerly be blasting you shortly. Expect him to call you stupid, and an idiot, among other choice adjectives. Only a truly smart person with "x" amount of degrees etc own CaVeN spas! Pass it on!!! I'm not a salesperson. And,I don't hate you Conjuna....but I dislike you. It's mutual correct?
  19. If you're a moderator...and really want this to be a helpful board etc....Why not suspend/ban the squeaky wheel? Why doesn't he use his real/changed name? LOL
  20. Is that your opinion/belief Conjuna,and/or is it fact? Can you provide some proof of the profit margin, and the over-all profit Watkins makes in a quarter/year etc? What's considered SUPER high pri-fits? lol "And sorry for getting off topic, but I can't control myself and my beliefs for the evil empire know as Hot-Springs/Masco. Jimbo Conjuna,2006" Did I mention I'm possessed/consumed over this?
  21. Altazi....next he'll discuss his knowledge of the electrical wheel in 64 degrees/grin. Keep pushing the internet for sales LOL
  22. Forgot to add.....New spa owners, and old spa owners......I'm sure 1 of the highest priorities is the material of the control box. Well since you asked what people wished they were made out of.....I rebuke all 3 of your suggestions I.E. Plastic/Steel/Aluminum. You've gotten me so worried bout my control box, that tomorrow I'm gonna encase the entire thing in fire-bricks. How can I core the bricks,to capture any excess heat from the sun?
  23. "Most real engineers would never use plastic, because 50 and 60 amps in plastic should never be anywhere near flamables." If I read that statement correctly,am I to assume that Conjuna fills his spas with gasoline etc? Is Ozone GAS flammable? LOL He never did(JIM) address this, but as his last post testifies.....he did quote from it. "But please, if you are here to shed light and educate consumers, please educate us on what brand of tub it was the caught fire. Additionaly several posters have sited a situation in your own tubs, that despite your testiments to safety have exhibited a rather frightening, very unsafe condition. I wish you would intellegiently repsond to that." As usual....he posts babble etc,and when called on his own BS,he either spins it,or chooses to ignore it. Did I get it right Conjuna?
  24. And as we both discovered....the "euro-pulse" jets can be purchased as either left or right spinners Felt the same to me,no matter which way they spun. Off to dinner, someone keep an eye on that tinnie sombero/grin
