Dietitian Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I have a 50mg/hr ozonator that I just installed on my ozone-ready tub, and it does not appear to be producing bubbles. Should there be visible bubbles if the machine is working? It makes noise/powers on, but no visible bubbles.... Quote
Dr. Spa Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Should there be visible bubbles if the machine is working? No. But there should be visible bubbles if the injection system is working. Quote

Dr. Spa Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 An ozone ready spa has a tube you plug into the ozonator. That tube should be sucking air (typically by way of a venturi injector), pulling it through the ozonator (the ozonator converts some of the O2 into ozone). If the tube isn't sucking, no air will be drawn through the ozonator, working or not). Quote

The tube (attached to the ozonator) is connected to the spa and water spills out of the tube if the ozonator is disconnected, but does not suck air into the spa. What are some possible reasons that the tube is not sucking? The spa and all jets seems to be working normally. PS The tube I attached the ozonator to is not 3/8" as expected, it is bigger. It was hanging in the equipment area with a plug at the end. Is the ozone ready tube always 3/8"? Quote
