I have Spa gaurd Chlorinating Concentrate that I use in my spa. Is the MPS different? Should I b using MPS? If so when? I do have Enhanced shock I use after getting out of the tub too.

Thanks

I am no where near an expert, but I know that MPS and Chlorine are different. MPS is a non-chlorine shock for occasional (weekly) use that does not cause the rising levels of CYA, which as it rises binds the free chlorine and makes it more difficult for the chlorine to sanitize.

Note that MPS alone is not approved as an EPA sanitizer. It is the combination of Nature2 with its silver ions and MPS together that is approved. MPS alone is not only not as fast a sanitizer, but it has an irritating component that the silver ion breaks down quickly.
