Don't you have an old basic topside you could plug in? Bypass the flow controls and hit the button.

as far as the old control ... no i don't, i wanted to have the electric heater as a back up heater incase the boiler didn't turn on say set at 95*f and the heat exchanger set at operating temp 101*f but it doesn't seem possible i was going to use a different temp control and turn on the pump through a relay but i think i'm going to have to just use the controller to run a 220v transformer and unhook the elec heater all together. the only reason i wanted to do it that way is cause it gets really cold up here in canada and i'm not always around and frozen hot tubs are no fun i don't imagine and i do not want to find out

If you really want to do this hook a 220v transformer to your htr, then hook that to a 3 way zone valve that connects to your boiler lines

then plumb your boiler down stream of your system( other wise the higher oeration temp of your boiler will screw with your probes) I would use a stainless steel exchanger pot with the largest connectors you can find ie:2" or 2 1/2"
