New Tub Should I Drain After One Month?

It seems that I have stabilized the chemicals within the last week. I have great readings now with PH Bromine Alkalinity Ect. Now the book says I should drain the tub one month after my first fill. Can anyone tell me why I should do that now that I have all Chemicals balanced?

I know when i filled mine for the first time it was suggested that i immediately drain and refill after shocking to clear the lines of any fould water, which makes sense. Does the book elaborate why after only 1 month? to answer your question from my perspective i do not know why you would need to drain and refill. However i use dichlor not bromine. good luck.

A few people suggest that but to me its more of a general rule based on the expectation that the new tub owner will have struggled with water care and a fresh start is in order. It really should be considered on a case by case basis so if you have things in order, by all means continue and enjoy!!!
