signguy
I paid for the Silicone Shield option when I had my IG plaster pool installed a few months ago. For various reasons I have come to doubt the integrity of the company that did the installation. As I understand it the "Silicone Shield" product is added to the plaster mix before it is applied. Since I wasn't on-site that day I have no idea if this was actually done. Is there some way to verify it now?
G-MAN
If this is a new pool, the builder most likely subbed the plaster job to an actual plasterer. Try to find out who it was and contact them directly. If the builder payed them to use S.S. then it should be in there.
finishguy
Yes you can tell if its in the mix or not. I will tell you I plaster for a builder and they always charge for Silicon Shield, the homeowner never gets it. The water will bead off of the plaster like rain x on a windshield if its in.
