TennPete
Hello all. Bear with me as I am trying to figure out my folks spa. I have repaired a few of my own over the years and they just started having problems with theirs. here’s what I know - Dad complained of it not heating good heats to 79 degrees and no further all fuses look good swapped out the heating element for them after mom ordered a new one based on the spa shop recommendations. 240v at the leads coming in, 18-20v at the heater leads when the heat is active Guessing the bird needs rebuild? Something else I should look at? Board is: balboa MXBP501X PN 56549-01 (01-28-14) configured in setting #6 Thanks in advance
CanadianSpaTech
Sounds like a blown heater relay. Remove the board and look on back for dark spots or damage behind the K3, K5 relays.
