HotTubGal023
Had problems with Artesian Maui XL since February 2023 because it wouldn’t hold temp and would go up to 107 or down to 88 randomly. We purchased tub in 2012 new. Family Leisure support (the only ones I could get to respond) were out and confirmed issue is failed circulation pump (or whatever they call the main pump that goes thru heater). Other systems are fine (jets, ozone, heater, etc.) per tech. Tub now sits with “DRY” error and it’s full. Can get jets/bubbles on, and ozone seems to work, but it doesn’t heat. Pump has been on backorder now for 7 months. Can’t find alternate pump anywhere except Amazon with hideous reviews and no warranty. 1. Any recommendations on pump suppliers or next steps? We can even install ourselves if we can get one. 2. Anywhere that rebuilds the pumps? 3. Or are we just out of luck and the hot tub is obsolete now? 4. Any way for me to confirm it is the pump and not the heater? Reposting since I can't edit the original post (from August, but then I got sick for a few months). HotTubGal023
PS Many online spa parts stores show pump model 1030056 from Balboa as discontinued, and they offer either the LX-WTC-50M or 21-0015-81 as alternatives. These show in stock, but when I go to order them, I get a backorder error.
cranbiz
Any 220V 1/4hp motor will work. You might need to adapt the inlet or outlet for your plumbing. If necessary, use a 1/2 hp pump.
