Faulty heating element

Hi there,

My Balboa heater element recently became faulty and I have been doing research around replacing it. The original supplier has come back saying they recommend replacing the whole spa pack, charging £950+ VAT for the parts and £200 labour. If only replacing the heater £322 inc. VAT + £200 labour. I honestly wasn’t expecting for the cost to be so high so I rather replace the heater myself as the tub works fine atm when the heater isn’t plugged in the board.

Does anyone have experience sourcing the correct replacement heater for Balboa parts, it would be super helpful. I have attached pictures of the part labels (entire control unit + heater)

Thank you in advance,

Colin

Can be DIY'd fairly easy. Just make sure to look down the tube and make sure the element is not touching the side walls of the heater tube.

@CanadianSpaTech thank you for sharing, would you say there is no need to replace the entire heater? Just the element?

many thanks,

Colin
